A once a year educational event that provides families the opportunity to learn more about Down syndrome, health initiatives, and future opportunities from speakers of various expertise and backgrounds. Food and a Fun Zone are provided for kids too!
DSCEP families dress in their holiday best and enjoy a dinner, dance, and a visit from Santa.
Teens and adults with Down syndrome are invited to join the DSCEP’s weekly book club, an affiliate of the Next Chapter Book Club non-profit. All are invited to participate, regardless of reading level. Trained facilitators guide the club as members read and discuss age-appropriate material. Interested in starting a club in your neighborhood? We’re looking for volunteers to start clubs throughout El Paso. The hour-long sessions can be set up to fit the schedule of the volunteers and members.
An after school music lesson and music therapy program for all ages and skill levels. Students work with musicians and a musical therapist to learn a variety of musical instruments that help develop fine and gross motor skills, articulation, and communication. Classes are once a week at the local Sound Stage 9.
